Original*Attitude

LittleNote wrote:
Peace be with you!
In my reflection, I intentionally never wrote or used the word *Thanksgiving* as it bears little resemblance to the original event where struggling souls were learning from each other and sharing their goods, some grateful to be free from religious persecution in a strange land, while their hosts were innocently hospitable. That this model turned sour and led to the atrocities of which you write has little to do with the original attitude of gratitude.

This is an elegant telling of the story authored, written and schooled by the victorious, the true reality of the "original attitude", is one of white people who came to free themselves, convert and subvert the native land holders religion and way of life, and to take their land by any means necessary. The charade of being grateful, was from the beginning a ruse, a devise commonly used by a conquering force who at first is not of sufficient strength to over come that which they fear and desire to control and/or destroy. Speaking elegantly and giving intentions which never existed, hundreds of years after the fact is simply continuing the ignorance and deception of those who perpetrated the lies and crimes to begin with.

To even suggest that the few who originally came did not consider the history and methods of their race, knowing that hundreds of thousands would follow, the will of their god to conquer and displace the native inhabitants is an act of extreme denial.

Their gratitude was to their god, for giving them a land and people to convert, a complete fabrication of the facts and their true intentions.

The attitude should be one of asking forgiveness, tolerance and redemption, for this is the true nature of the situation.

Just a little*rant ;)

About that day set aside for gratitude

Peace be with you!
In my reflection, I intentionally never wrote or used the word *Thanksgiving* as it bears little resemblance to the original event where struggling souls were learning from each other and sharing their goods, some grateful to be free from religious persecution in a strange land, while their hosts were innocently hospitable. That this model turned sour and led to the atrocities of which you write has little to do with the original attitude of gratitude. That deviation from the original intent continues to erode, beckoned by materialism and greed. The poor, the bereaved, the lonely remain so or worse, except perhaps for a few crumbs or moments thrown their way. But again, I scream in this season, what are we teaching our children? Deprivation of the soul is right, and those who become the poorest of the poor are likely wearing Prada sniffing corks and plotting the next coup.
Mass*Madness

LittleNote wrote:
What are we teaching our children with these games, and these post-turkey forays into the madness of Madison Avenue plots?

? Thanksgiving ? i*find nothing thankful nor giving, in the mass enslavement and slaughter of one species or race, in order to celebrate the profit from conquering another.

The adult-children are being led to celebrate the "outcome" of thanksgiving, the destruction of a native people for the profit of their land, and its politically correct interpretation by the victorious, not its true meaning, which is cleverly lost in the violent rush toward supplying the ego with things to display ones commitment to the tradition of stuffing one self and life with meaningless - meaning and thus being given a political and social right to trample and oppress others, all done in the name of brotherhood, sharing and togetherness, the irony is almost admirable if it was not so sickeningly obvious to those oppressed, who can not afford to share in the "giving" and have little material wealth to be "thankful" of.

And so they take heart and stock in the truth of their bounty of family and friends.

There will always be poor, yet they are not those who languish in the oppression brought forth by the wealthy, they are those who languish in the poverty of spirit, the deprivation of soul, the very ones who point the accusing finger at those deemed as poor, lack the richness of life and love to know and accept the truth that they are the poor of which I speak.

Those whom surround their heart with fear and hate for that which they see as "Other" can not support the truth which is now coming to all*ways, and thus each will pass into the oblivion their fear offers, creating the time and space for that which is to be, the evolution of peace, love, and tolerance in this dawning Age of Compassion.

All truth leads to Divine*Spirit

Peace: The realization of the reality that truth is the single reality.

Follow truth to find peace.

Thanks for thoughts well worth pondering.

Your last thought reminds me that if I change the world changes. . .

. . . Let most changes be for the better!

Inner Peace

One way to inner peace is simply to sit without judgement and enjoy the uniqueness of each personality that comes before me. There is a delight in knowing that each one's DNA is different, each one's memories, each one's bruises and loves, each one's shoes, and therefore to expect a society of clones is not only impossible, but an utterly boring concept.
To welcome an Other's thought and talents into one's life is to double the perspectives. To welcome Many gives endless permutations and combinations, an overflow of insights and understandings. And where there is understanding, fear has no place, for peace is a by-product of understanding.
