Connecting Across Differences

These are wise words, Loetoy. It's not about finding like-minded people - that's too easy! It's about connecting across differences - therein lies the challenge. We must embrace the entire range of humanity rather than out-manipulate the manipulators because all that will be accomplished by the latter strategy is to reverse the relationship between the dominated and the dominators with both groups perpetually at risk. The former strategy will succeed when we become firmly grounded in two key assumptions: People are compassionate by nature, and there are enough resources to meet everyone's needs.

Yes there are many bridges to pass. But the ultimate bridge is the bridge to understanding one another. People can say I know him or her. but the few people in this world who are willing to talk to someone of different and diverse ideas are few and far between. we all have our own ways of thinking. I grew up in a housing project in queens New York and I learned at an early age you must just get along with everyone. tolerance of different people is key to finding not only peace but inner peace within yourself. with that in mind then we will be able to cross bridges together to make our world a better place to live in.

loetoy wrote:
Dialog must be achieved to win over and posible stabilize this volitile area of the world.

Each one, crossing one bridge at a time, eventually brings all to the opposite side, crossing every bridge, together at the same time, brings all to meet in the middle.

With all the hatred and rage going on betweenthe sect's of the muslim religion I believe it is time for the religous leaders of the world to step in. Since this war has started there has been controversy over contreversy. We have been lied to by our own government. This same government has said it is an idealogical war(whatever that means) We must all understand that we are only human and to embrace each others ideas and differences as our uniqueness as being children of God.
