Newton Dialogues on Peace and War Monthly Meeting

Come join us for an evening of folk songs in honor of Pete Seeger's 86th birthday, (May 3). Note that this event is being held on Mother's Day. In the United States Mother's Day was first suggested in 1872 by Julia Ward Howe as a day dedicated to peace. Ms. Howe would hold organized Mother's Day meetings in Boston every year. Join us for an evening of singing and reminiscence as we raise our voices with Pete Seeger's songs and reflect on the impact he has had on our lives. Members of Newton Dialogues will be leading the singing. There will be birthday cake. It will be fun. At The Eliot Church of Newton, Centre Street and Church Street, Newton (Click for Map).
