 <description>&lt;p&gt;The Department of Peace Bill (H.R. 3760, full text &lt;a href=&quot;/dop/HR3760&quot;&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;) in the House of Representatives would establish a United States Department of Peace.  A Secretary of Peace would be appointed by and would report to the President.  The Secretary of Peace would oversee the Department and its activities.  There is also a Senate version of the legislation (S.1756, full text &lt;a href=&quot;/dop/S.1756&quot;&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The bill organizes the Department as follows:&lt;/p&gt;
