Peacebuilding Creates Jobs

I regret that you have fallen prey to the notion that "there's no profit in world peace." The only ones who profit from war are the warlords - the military brass and the corporate executives. I'm so glad that the Department of Peace will have an Undersecretary of Peace Technology. The military brass and the corporate executives are not the enemy - they just need a new agenda. The real challenges are those things that threaten our whole species, like loss of our atmosphere through ozone depletion, global climate change, pollution, inequitable distribution of resources. There will be profit and value (and they are not the same thing) in meeting these challenges. Please don't believe anyone that tells you that war is good for the economy. Counter that tired slogan with the one in the title of this reply - soon to be available as a bumper sticker for a DoP fundraiser, I hope. And dare to hope!

I agree too.

But I'm sorry to say what we all know. There's no profit in World Peace. If there was, we'd have it by now. The Powers that be aren't going to invest their money or time for it. If we had World Peace all they would be thingking about is their losses in the war department. World Peace has got to come free of charge. It can't come about with money. I have a freewebsite. I put my books and writings on it so everyone can read it. Truth is the answer. It's easy to see but it takes time to comprehend. My book "Key of See" tells it best.
Thank-you for your time. The creater of this site, I would like to thank for making this posible.

Courage in Personal Notions of Peace

No one is more powerful than those who have the strength, the grace, and the love to endure the perverse, oft times brutal, conduct of others. It is in grace under fire that all are tried and most found to be wanting for non-violent solutions. True men/women of strength would not ever engage in the notion that striking another, AT ANY TIME or FOR ANY CAUSE, could result in righteousness, justice, fairness, and particularily peace.
Peace is an enlighten process that takes one faith-filled courageous step at a time. Lest we forget, Peace is healthy for children and ALL other Living things.
Presently none have Freedom from war. Wars' effects are far-reaching and seep into every corner of our earth.

Season of Peace- daily meditation

Friday, Dec. 30th is the Annual Marathon Peace Jubilee and a day of International World Peace Meditation. Find one that is gathering in your locality. If not available, think on sponsoring such a gathering for next year.
Peace and presence are the greatest of gifts we can give one another this Christmas and every day in the coming New Year. The twelve days of Christmas run from Dec. 26th through Jan. 6th and are otherwise known as the Day of Kings(or the Epiphany). Some gifts are free to be given yet hold the greatest amount of value, bringing immeasurable joy and cementing already satisfying relationships. These freely given gifts are Loving, truly Seeing, Listening, Appreciating, Demonstrating, Dreaming, Anticipating, Reminiscing, Playing, Feeling, Forgiving, and organizing our Time to do all of these in abundance with others.
BLESSINGS OF PEACE TO ALL.

worldpeace

I hope we have the courage in 2006 to confront our own personal notions of worldpeace in order to take substantive steps towards realising it.
I hope on the advent of 2007, we have challenged one another sufficiently that our bonds of love are stronger, our minds are more sophisticated, and our intentions are in greater alignment.
I hope this site grows from strength to strength, and the people who contribute find their lives in the real world more empowered and satisfying.

love
Holiday Greetings

There are places I'll remember
All my life, though some have changed.
Some forever, not for better.
Some have gone, and some remain.
All these places had their meanings
With lovers and friends I still can recall.
Some are dead and some are living.
In my life, I've loved them all.

I spent almost two years of "my life" living, working, and traveling in northwestern Europe. During that time especially, but also both before and after that experience, I have come to know people from every part of the world. These lyrics by Lennon/McCartney are dedicated to my international friends with my fondest holiday wishes and hopes of Peace and Love in your future.
