A Technology to Bridge That Which Divides Us

Agreed, the existence of complexity within simplicity principle is a fundamental aspect of our existence. In fact, chemists have found that complexity will arize spontaneously within simple chemical systems (From Being to Becoming by Ilya Prigogine). It may well be the underlying basis for life on earth as well as in the rest of the universe.

An elegant mathematical proof may serve a technical purpose and be abhorrent to some, but it will be an object of beauty to others.

Since the beginning of civilization war has been with us, what we need now is a way to transcend it before its too late. If we can find a way to apply the complexity within simplicity principle to develop a new language and tools (memetics), we could use them to build a "bridge of peace" between a future of mutally assured destruction to one of mutually assured survival.

The war clock is ticking, we have a choice if we act now.

Thanks

Complex*Simplicity

Yes the Memetic system standard and its encompassing effects is rather confusing, do to the complex simplicity of its structure. Just as that last sentence does it confines a lot of information into a given reality, which takes some real time and involved study to understand. Much as the single reality of truth, which of course is based on the entire reality of being, the concept is so simple and creates such diversity in the actual action and reaction of thoughts and deeds, that it can be hard to see the whole without knowing all the connected parts. The beauty and grace of these creations is that one can know all if one is so inclined to see, so the simplicity of the complexity is a rather clever idea, don't you think ;)

BillH wrote:
Islamic Fundamentalist Terrorism may be viewed as a low level Memetic response by a small subset of the Islamic Meme Complex to the threat imposed by the Western Meme Complex. This threat to its "Memetic survival" arises from the ever increasing intrusions by the Western Meme complex into the Memetic space occupied by the Islamic Meme Complex. The intrusions are mediated via Western controlled global media which facilitates the rapid transfer of Western Meme components, i.e. Western culture and ideas as well as the transfer of more advanced Western technology. These intrusions are the method being used by the Western Meme Complex to capture more territory within the Islamic Meme Complex.

I hereby nominate "meme" as the least understood and most abused cliche of 2005!

Eschew obfuscation!
