Should the United States sit in Judgement of the world and decide who can have a modern military and who can't?
Are we to punish Iran like the ancient greek gods punished Promehtus for stealing fire?

It is bigotry to oppose Iran's Nuclear ambitions just because it is governed by a hereditary Islamic Theocracy.

We need to look at Iran's promise to wipe Israel off the map, and set Tel Aviv ablaze in context. It's just harmless Hyperbole.

The Soviet Union threatened to bury us once,,,and everything turned out fine

In Flanders Fields

Dear Del Abe Jones

I have lived in The Netherlands for 30 years now
and have indeed been often in Belgium in the Flanders Fields filled with the red poppies
and all the veteran's grave markers.

And even though my father was a WWII US Marine who volunteered
at age 17 to go to the south pacific
i still hear his voice saying that he would never let his sons go to war.
He died this year at age 82 and his wish has so far been granted.

There is a militant strain of Islam that wants to kill us. But the actions of Dubya and Vice President Chicken Hawk have made matters worse not better. By his actions Dubya has caused their to be created an Al Qaida base in Iraq were there was none before. Dubya has taken us down the road of torture and lying about torture and redefining torture. Thanks to Dubya we have lost the credibility and moral high ground we had on 9/11.

Defunding militant Islam by getting off foreign oil is a far better option that foolish neo-con fantasies. If ever the people truly see that our neo-con driven president treated our soldiers like pawns on a chess board, they will be quite unhappy about it.
