Turkey*Day

Turkeys have their day, as does the one who sailed the ocean blue in 1492,

Dead presidents and Independence day are fairly mundane to,

All of these holidays serve one purpose,
to safe guard the notion that one nation undivided is held dear and true,

Perhaps then a plan to allow everyone the ability to exercise their voting rights, would give all the notion that We The People are encouraged to participate beyond the narrow interest of our party red or blue,

To rise above the hate and fear, spewed forth by invisible lines that draw blood and tears,

Each one helping a neighbor to the polls, without concern or doubt as to their patriotic goal,

This would be a holiday, worth its weight in gold, offering a nation and the world, one people indivisible, under the faith and truth of each helping the other to practice the greater good of their voting roll.

Peace is the Way

In spite of the sardonic comment above, I hasten to assure the propeace community that I am confident that peace is the way - that we have always been in the majority. We just don't make enough noise!

The Impossible Dream

I'm not sure if we're "kicking ass" but we sure are kicking a lot of doors! Seriously, though, it's a good thing they haven't interviewed me with such an asinine poll. In particular, for question 7, what if I don't believe the war on terror can be won by any means? And therefore what can we conclude about the results, even if they are accurately computed and reported?

people against the war

I don't like raining on your statistical parade, but a lot of the people that claim to be against the war are only saying that because we're losing...if "we" were kicking ass (not my choice), a lot of so-called anti-war voters would be flying flags and cheering the madness...just the way it is in ''Murrika, sadly...we are not a nation of peaceful people but sheep who follow the latest trends. Hence the polls.

Yes*We*Will

There is only one question, one quality, one decision, one judge of merit for The*People to establish and hold themselves and their leaders to:

The foundation and might of America . . . Is doing the right*thing.

and so in their heart of hearts, they know electing Barack Obama is the right thing to do, to begin the healing of America and the world.

thus the solution is: Yes*We*Will

other*wise its - S.O.S. - change we can neither believe in nor trust.

It's time the alternative is given a chance.
