I'm not sure if we're "kicking ass" but we sure are kicking a lot of doors! Seriously, though, it's a good thing they haven't interviewed me with such an asinine poll. In particular, for question 7, what if I don't believe the war on terror can be won by any means? And therefore what can we conclude about the results, even if they are accurately computed and reported?

I don't like raining on your statistical parade, but a lot of the people that claim to be against the war are only saying that because we're losing...if "we" were kicking ass (not my choice), a lot of so-called anti-war voters would be flying flags and cheering the madness...just the way it is in ''Murrika, sadly...we are not a nation of peaceful people but sheep who follow the latest trends. Hence the polls.

On Martin Luther King Day

When all the marchers shall have lost their way
and the Way shall not have been forgotten
and the colour of skin, the slant of eye,
mere shadows that block the great internal Sun,
then peace will no longer be purchased
in salt or oil,
nor bought with fallen soldiers of Christ or Buddha,
nor turned the opposite direction from Mecca,

every man woman and child will pledge Allegiance
to the Brother and Sisterhood of Humanity,
a banquet feast shall be prepared in Kingdom Hall,
a Promised Land,
a welcome home anywhere on earth as it is in Heaven.

I Keep Running Into Trees

Perhaps I am posting this poem here at an appropriate *time*? When I originally wrote it, the countdown was 544 days 12 hours and some minutes. Even though I understand that everyone lives according
to his/her own personal *honor*/integrity, until we speak and live our lives with a Universally Integrated Spirit, we speak from separation and without clarity.

I keep running into trees walking down the Appian Way
but it's ok, Jack, the sky is falling into place since
1963,
Persephone calls on the Blackberry
awakens me whining about naked apes in the
Eucalyptus trees,
David is lost without his trust slingshot
and his very own Goliath,
daydreams about a pregnant Bathsheba cooking
Mother of Oats on a cold morning,
Good ol' George has 306 days 10 hours and some 21 minutes
left in the Oval office to learn another word
in the Oxford dictionary, even though
he can probably never say
'"I told a lie", like the great white
American forefather,
Bill Maher says (a stand-up kind of comic)
half of Americans think drugs
and the other half (of Americans) think guns
are the cause of death and destruction,
and need to be 'regulated'
but yeah, or Nay (he's a thinking kind of stand-up comic)
religion is the toast that burns the wheat to the ground,

I really don't have time (moving from Alaska to Oregon) for Eckert Tolle right now but noted his name and will explore later but I just wanted to say I love your "rant" and thanks for bringing some light here and in the world. I'm with you.
