Many have said because of the recent Danish cartoon assault - quote:

"Can we finally get past this characterization that Islamic and Christian fundamentalists are indistinguishable?"

No*Different

There is no difference between those who react to a cartoon or any media or personal lifestyle content with a call for violence and oppression, than those who hide behind the construct and flag of what they consider to be the right to free speech and freedom without the need to be held responsible for what their words and actions create.

No difference between millions who chant "Death to America" while burning flags, than those who gather in mass and call for the banning and burning of Harry Potter, and would have been very willing if given the right, to burn the author at the stake, as the social system they created once did, not long ago, to the many witches and wizards who did not agree with their view of the world.

No difference between those who build guarded fences and walls of steel and concrete to exclude others, than those who build them of belief and tradition built upon the actions and violence of the past.

No difference between those who cut off heads today in the name of their god, than those who murdered millions of native people in the name of their god, for the purpose of taking their land, driving them onto small, nearly worthless compounds which still serve as prisons of social and economic oppression to this very day.

No difference between those who act with vengeance, marching in the street, calling for death and revenge when their god is insulted by a cartoon, than those who do the same when their god is said to be less popular that the Beatles, burning records and calling for revenge, apologies and effectively willing the deaths of John Lennon, Martin Luther King, The Kennedy's, Gandhi etc. etc. etc.

No difference between those who hung Christ on a cross and those who hung Blacks from a tree.

No difference when both are throwing insults and accusations via radio, TV and the Internet, throwing bombs into buildings, killing children, no difference between the million dollar missile or the suicide backpack.

No difference between the man in the armored Hum Vee with a mounted mini gun and the man in the rusted Toyota Pickup with an AK-47, no difference between the helicopter mounted rocket and the shoulder held RPG.

No difference as the result is the same, throwing high velocity lead and shrapnel into the bodies of those whom they fear, destroying the homes and lives of those whom "they" decide do not have the right to disagree.

No difference in those who enslave women and children by religious means, than those who do so in the work place, behind laws, lifestyle, race, color, gender and even sexual preference.

The four corner stones of Fundamental Evil are the same, Fear, Intolerance, Hate, and Revenge, the justification of these acts are all based in the fears which their social system's create, support and perpetuate.

The carnage and blood shed can not be glossed over and ignored, for the truth of its reality is open for all who choose to see how it violates the gift and creation which love so freely offers to any and all who truly desire to follow her path.

No matter how high one builds he/r soap box, the foundation will crumble and fail when it sits upon the fractured belief of fear, only the solid faith of love will support those who desire truth.

The difference will come when one calls for Peace and the other does the same, when one acts in peace and the other does the same, when one offers tolerance, compassion and love, and the other does the same, then and only then will the difference be the realization and acceptance that there is no difference, there is only - Truth.

Peace - All*Ways, leads to Truth.

Truth - All*Ways, leads to Peace.

Truth*Says:

The Situation is not "Out of Y*our hands", it lies very squarely and deeply in "Our*Hands".
