The DVD came in the mail in a brown envelop addressed by hand by the poet, splashing upon the shores of my overly busy life. Putting the disc in the player and submerging beneath the headphones, life slowed down, the subtleties and nuance and layers once again revealed. This poetry does have an impact. This is breathtaking, gorgeous poetry, not in an overwrought or elaborate sense, but in a way that creates a simple and clear montage of image and phrase that embraces and nurtures.
