Just as the poor will always be with us, I believe those who desire to hate, even if it is only the tiniest seed in their heart of hearts, will evolve their hate into violence at every opportunity that presents itself.
The true question for mankind at this time is... What is the reason we have FAIL TO PROVIDE for an evolution that works at displacing hate and promotes peace among mankind? Especially in America, where we were able to pioneer our way to the moon yet we deem it an impossibility to seek real peace through dipolmatic means among our fellow man?
I think what we have at this time and this place in history are far too many minds that hold a "Terminator" attitude, not a "Peace for all the Right Reasons" stance. And Oh! how thankful I am to my God that we do have such passioned peacemakers and peace seekers among us here.
I was standing in a Peace and Peaceful protest outside of a local hotel when an elderly man and his wife approached me. The woman was friendly enough but the man behind her, snarled like a old bear.
"Exterminate them all.," he said mindlessly.
"Your children or mine?," I replied.
"The Iraqis, of course.," he answered quickly.
"Peace is healthy for children and all others living.", I retorted back and watched as a shocked and dismayed look dawned on his face. As if children were somehow exempt from the actions of adults and adults could do anything they want without it adversely effecting children.
He and his mate quickly moved away into the crowd seeking another victim for their venomous rancor.
I assumed to myself how this same couple quite probably readied themselves for Church each Sunday like many good Christians yet continues to harbor such replusive hate towards others in their hearts. Such a paradox. Yet, this is the troublings of our current times and social policies.
Lo, to those who bring about such hate into the hearts of mankind. Let Peace Reign into our hearts, minds, and souls. Let us seek alternatives to violence and teach Peace at every opportunity. Change our hearts and Save Lives. Especially as Mothers and Fathers, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles, let us strive to design and implement a better world, free from bitterness, strife, and hate, for all children the world over.
