Bush and Skull & Bones: the connection

Little attention has been paid to Bush's murky past, not just his admitted drug use and serious drinking problem, but also his ties to Skull & Bones, a Yale "secret society" which Bush has pretended does not exist, but which is very real indeed. For Christians, Skull & Bones should be regarded as seriously as the spiritually significant practices of baptism or communion. But even for non-Christians, Bush's association with this group should be examined.

Skull & Bones is an organization committed to the active advancement of its elitist members. Like the mafia, membership is for life. Past members occupy some of the most powerful positions in the modern world: within the media, government, and in the highest echelons of corporate influence. GW Bush's father was a Bonesman, and so were both of his grandfathers.

The two imperatives conditioned into Bonesmen are secrecy and loyalty, which we can see are salient elements of this presidency. Bonesmen are inculcated into a culture and bond built upon the advancement of self, and of fellow members. Members are trained to place the "Brotherhood of Death" above any and all other ties. Bonesmen (a play on the French word for "good," as in "Good Men") are educated in the art of dissembling, and are encouraged to embrace any means which advance the ends of achieving wealth and worldly power. Bonesmen are taught that it is not only acceptable but admirable to feign religious faith in order to accomplish these goals. This is precisely what George W. Bush did, supposedly becoming a Christian at exactly the point in his life when wearing the Christian halo enabled him to overcome what otherwise would have been a distinctly unchristian track record, thereby gaining the White House, to the glory of Skull & Bones.

Which is Bush: Bonesman or Christian? Any true Christian would renounce ties to an organization in which they had robbed graves, stolen for the brotherhood, drank blood from a skull, sang songs of loyalty to the devil, etc. But Bush has refused to do this, continuing in the benefits of membership without renouncing his association with this immoral, Machiavellian clan. In fact, to renounce his membership with Skull & Bones is specifically forbidden for Bonesman. Where then are Bush's loyalties? And are war and torture, and the transfer of wealth to the rich, Christian accomplishments, or clear examples of loyalty to himself and his base?

Become informed, so that others may learn the truth. Christians must be educated about these simple, undeniable facts, and Bush's approval ratings will fall to where they belong -- in the single digits. My new book, "Christian Words, Unchristian Actions: George W. Bush and the Desecration of Christianity in Modern America," provides a well-researched tool to spread truth in the face of megalomaniacal falsehood. Available at www.pleasantwordbooks.com.
