Invitation to celebrate UN International Day of Peace 2006 at the UN!

I have been invited to celebrate UN IDP 2006 on Thursday, September 21st at the UN and can invite youth to share this with me

I am actively seeking to collaborate with those of you who deal with school-aged youth, and asking you to consider inviting those young people whom you feel would appreciate this stunning opportunity

Age range for youth - fourth grade through senior in high school.

This is an event which looks to empower and celebrate youth as the peacemakers of tomorrow, and is free of charge

People would just need to pick up transportation, food, lodging (if people chose to stay in NYC), etc.

I live in Boston - so I am envisioning a group or groups of us leaving from here - either by bus, or train

Of course, there are logistics to work through - parental consent, adult chaperones, etc. But, we have plenty of time - the UN does not require a final count until September 14th.

However, I want to have some sense as to how this will play out for me (given the responsibility) by mid-August.

I've been wanting to attend this for years; this year, it feels doable for me

However, this isn't something I want to attend alone; it feels imperative for me to share this

The fantasy is that we'll have a contingent of people coming from Boston for the UN IDP 2006 - maybe even a full bus, or a full train car...That's my dream for Peace!

For more info, I invite you to visit www.internationaldayofpeace.org, and www.worldpeace.org/peaceday.html.

Please help me make my dream a reality!!

Thanks

To Peace,
Penny
