Searching For A New Kind Of Hero

I recently found this website and wanted to reach out to like minded people.
I am a filmmaker who just returned from a three month journey/adventure through Scotland and England. The film we shot was called Peace Walker, and was an 1100 mile hike/discussion on world peace. What can we do to achieve it? Can we make a difference? What can one person do?
One question we asked people was "what brings you peace?"
If any of you are interested in answering that, I would be appreciative.
Media can make a real impact, and we plan to use Peace Walker to reach people all over the world, particularly the younger generation. You can find more on our journey online at www.doornumberthreefilms.com We have an diary that followed the daily journey through the UK.It was hard, more challenging that we could have guessed and was tramatic at times, but with the help of amazing people like yourselves we were able to complete it.
Thank you for your work and throughts towards peace.

Papa's a Hero

Papa never went to war, his number was called then the Draft was dissolved, he didn't volunteer, stayed with us right here,

Papa never played pro ball, he was plenty good, plenty tall, that light was cast on others, anyway he had his druthers, stayed with us and his brothers,

Papa never raced a car, nor reached for an Olympic star,
never gambled or drank, didn't do drugs, coffee or tea,
just stayed with mom and me,

Papa loved the world, climbed its mountains when he was young, toured the back roads, watched the setting sun, sailed the seas, drove fast machines, flew on man made wings, studied the creatures, and politics, art, love of life filled his intellect,

Papa never built us a Taj Mahal, just a home filled with love, joy, happiness, and discipline, took us fishing and to work with him,

Papa never left he was always there, a strong arm to turn to, a soft shoulder on which to shed a tear, when I grow up that's the kind of man I'm going to be, a HERO like Papa was to me.

My*Peace

I constantly cry deep within, as i*see and feel the fear that engulfs others, what brings me*peace is the truth in knowing that those fears will now be shifting toward tranquility, and so it is very soon that my tears of compassion will subside and those of joy shall reign.
