Shouldn't President Bush Have Put HIS name on the Irag Voting Ballot ?

Tags:

After all this time, it would seem that President Bush, in retrospect should have placed HIS name on the Iragi Voting Ballot. For President of Iraq as well as current President of America. In view of how he seems to insist that the Iraqi government be run just the same as America's.
As old a country as Iraq is, I don't think many of their people are all that inthused with President Bush's insistance on running their country. But steadfast and "dug-in" as he appears to be in making "sure" Iraq do away with their previous Dictatorship and do things his way. And at such an incredible cost! Imagine a President becoming the Leader of TWO countrys. Wow. Now that's a concept! My understanding is that it is presently costing America something like in excess of 80 Billion dollars per year plus the losses of life.
WHY can't America get out of Iraq and back off for awhile...? Let things materialize as they will over there and see IF there are better, healthier, less costly means and ways to "Deal" with Iraq.
America has yet to complete the necessary issues regarding the devastating damages to New Orleans, Missippi etc from Hurricane Katrina.
Can't WE help all those people first, then see about running yet another country??

Interesting*Takes

It is interesting how emotional a response can be triggered by a false perception of what is being said, i* do not think Bush or the war in Iraq, nor any terrorist threat should be gotten RID of, any time soon. Personally i*trust they are all doing quite a fine job of screwing the world up, and should be allowed to push their agenda home. Which is the reality that exists, and one that will not change any time soon.

NOTE: i stated - "The wise choice is to trust that which is and believe that it will react accordingly to that which it receives in return. Kind of a no brainer huh ;)"

In other words, "Give unto to others as you would desire given unto you."

The unfortunate reality is that this world needs to see itself at its worst before it is willing and able to change. Which is exactly what we* are here to do.

Iraq and terrorists

It is increasingly evident that the Middle East experts who warned before Mr. Bush's Iraq invasion that instability and civil war would likely result, were dead on target. Those experts were also ignored when they explained that an increasing U.S. presence in the Middle East would stir up more anti-American sentiment and swell the ranks of the terrorists. Those experts will be sought out now, but again Americans might not like what they hear.

The truth is that "pulling out" of Iraq to "let things materialize as they will over there" would be an absolute disaster and is simply unthinkable. The decision to invade Iraq was built on lies, and was criminal and immoral. However, we now own Iraq, and Bush is irrelevant. If the U.S. pulls out of Iraq (which we armed as a counter-force to growing Iranian power), the vacuum created will draw Iran, Turkey, Syria and other nations into the melee, as well as result in untold death and suffering for Iraqis. The good intention of ending the war should not be translated into yet more harm to the Iraqi people.

Of course, such instability in the Middle East would certainly engulf Israel and thus the United States, so we can't really leave anyway. But ultimately (and the whole world knows this better than Americans) it is the American people who would suffer most from a pull-out. Our days of cheap gas are finite, and a precipitous interruption of our oil-teat would send this country into chaos unseen in human history, especially if it occurred as winter approached. Oil need not be shut off to topple our economy and cause rippling inflation and panic.

All that needs to occur is a sufficient psychological blow to the oil markets, or even a short-term but substantial supply interruption. Americans don't even know where their food comes from anymore, let alone how to raise it themselves. With ever larger, often less efficient homes, Americans can no longer heat themselves without oil, or run their electric generation facilities. It really is a disaster waiting to happen, the powers that be are well aware of this threat, and a quick withdrawal from Iraq will virtually guarantee the beginning of the end.

Shutting off America's oil would kill more people than a nuke in NYC. Bush stuck his arrogant finger in the world's oil dike, and now you and Rainbow Brain are thinking of grabbing him by the arm and pulling him back? The time for that is past, and now we all must pay.... Iraq is no Vietnam: America can't just pack up and go home and leave its mess behind. That's why war with Iran is now likely: our government now has little to lose, since it has effectively thrown everything away already. The terrorists have never been such a threat to world security and the American way of life as have George W. Bush and the neo-conservative morons who are now having "meetings" to generate a "new strategy" in Iraq. What new strategy? The whole fiasco was based on an ideological pipe dream, and now my children are supposed to die for such vapid stupidity?

The situation in the world became very serious the day America invaded Iraq. The rising tide of civil war in Iraq, and of world resentment against America, will only increase as the very fools who threw gasoline on the hornet's nest of Islamist extremism are the ones who are supposed to steer us out. Most Americans still have no clue just how dire is their future. Every day that Iraq is kept from complete chaos is one more day for Americans to enjoy their waning American dream. One more trip to the ice cream shop, to the mall, to the grocery store....all on borrowed time, and borrowed money.

To pull out of Iraq is for America to seek to leave its mess behind, along with its depleted uranium and torture facilities. It is an unpleasant reality that this option is not available this time. Iraq is not a distant, surreal land: it is filled with human beings in intense hardship and despair. America is the surreal place, a fearful shell of its former glory, its Constitution sold out for corporate/government slavery, its people insufficiently compassionate for the harm done abroad by their rulers and in their names. Hardship and despair will soon be upon America as well, and it is only to be hoped that the world is forgiving....Or has our nation's good will been plundered too?

God help us!

Of course not, their intent is not to rid the world of terror, it is to keep it held in fear.

Of course there are many, but bullys only knows the fear which holds them, they are unable to trust that which they fear, and trust is the only relationship in which love will create peace.

And of course there are many forms of trust which one can extend to others, just as there are many forms of beliefs which one may hold as true, and thus follow a path of fear or truth.

The wise choice is to trust that which is and belief that it will react accordingly to that which it receives in return. Kind of a no brainer huh ;)

I Recently Spoke to A Man in the NAVY...

Just recently, I spoke at great length to a Man I met at an Army Surplus Store who just got back from a tour in Iraq. He was fully dressed in uniform.

He gave mention to his unhappiness about how things are being done over there at this point.

I asked him HOW can this Terrorist situation be better diminished? He said that IF Congress were to get out of the way for one thing, then Get ALL of the innocent children, mothers, fathers and civilians OUT of Iraq completely.

Then We could simply make a "Parking Lot" out of Iraq !

I further inquired of him HOW can we better Deal with these Terrorist's approaches to preventing all the harm they do??

He pointed out, that for one thing, HOW do you deal with someone who picks up a Cellphone living thousands of miles away and they have somebody else do their dirty work in New York?

The overall experience of this NAVY man was to point out in closing, how his experiences of the Terrorists are that they are very Poor Fighters, and basically, they are mostly Cowards !

For them, they kill innocent people, children and the like to get their point across of how "Bad" they are!
The NAVY man said he's going to be returning to Iraq in November.
I wish Him Well!

Getting "RID" of the Terrorists....

This one topic of discusion has been so run in the ground already.
Does or Has anyone noticed how "after" 9/11 and the destruction of the World Trade Center buildings as well as the distruction done to the Pentegon and of course the Philidephia Flight going down, how so very little has changed in regards to really {{{ getting RID of the Terrorists }}} ???
SO much of our own country has invested such a devasting effort to RID our world of these Terrorists, and yet, and AFTER all this time...Still they prevail!
Concerning and upseting, but True!

ARE WE really approaching this serious problem in the most effective possible way?
There MUST BE other ideas, other approaches, other means of bringing about PEACE in this ongoing delima.
