NO*PROFITCorporations should not be allowed to profit from war. Soldiers do not profit from serving, they earn a living, and it is not a very economically viable one. Soldiers sacrifice everything, corporations sacrifice nothing. Soldiers are separated from their homes and families, corporations are separated from nothing. Soldiers have a very basic life style, corporate individuals have everything and more and then some more. Soldiers get a cotton parachute if they live to retirement. Corporate individuals descend into hell in silk lined caskets, on a golden parachute, aboard private jets. Soldiers come home in body bags, on cargo jets. If corporations were the patriotic, troop supporting entities and individuals they claim to be, they would provide the military with goods and services at cost. Making profit through war is nothing more than being the leech which drains the blood from the very body which keeps it safe. Remove the profit from war and you largely eliminate much of the incentive to make the investment for sending the underprivileged and disadvantaged off to die for profit. There is no reason what so ever that war material and services could not be provided at cost, especially since the majority of R&D is paid for by government funding of military projects. The bottom line is that soldiers die defending their homes, communities, country and the profits of the wealthy. There is NO*PROFIT in war and that certain individuals are allowed personal and corporate gain beyond the cost of serving the need is criminally immoral. ©Bruce Larson*Moore
