Peace in Iraq

I googled the name of a song I wrote named 'Just Another Bloody Day' and came up with this site. The song is about Ryan Miller, but it could have been about any one of the casualties. The point is that these kids are dying for no good reason and we need to bring them home now!

Here are the lyrics:

Private Ryan Miller -his age was twenty-one
All fired-up and ready to kill with a 45-caliber machine gun
A 45-caliber machine gun, a 45-caliber machine gun
All fired-up and ready to kill with a 45-caliber machine gun

Ryan's serving with Kilo Company in Al-Anbar, Iraq
3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines, ain't a gonna make it back
Ain't a gonna make it back, lord - serving with Kilo Company
He ain't a gonna make it back

In his second tour of duty - all we need is a few good men
We kill a few good men every week in a war that we can't win
A war that we can't win, Lord, a war that we can't win
A war that we can't win, Lord, a war that we can't win

Ryan died a hero full of enemy lead
Gonna bury Ryan in his uniform
Army hat on his head
Army hat on his head, army hat on his head
Got to hid the hole in the back, Lord, an army hat on his head

Ryan won't be needing no shoes when they ship him back overseas
Cause an IED cut him down to size took both legs at the knees
Took both legs at the knees, lord took both legs at the knees
Ryan won't be needing no shoes, took both legs at the knees

Ryan's sleeping in tomorrow got to get his rest
Resurrection Cemetery, want him to look his best
Want him to look his best, Lord want him to look his best
Resurrection Cemetery - want him to look his best

The taxman's coming round to take it all away
We're oh so very proud just another bloody day
Just another bloody day, Lord, just another bloody day
Just another bloody day, Lord
Just another bloody day, just another bloody day, Lord
Just another bloody day, just another bloody day, Lord
Just another bloody day
