He Had a Dream

This is just a friendly reminder that Monday is MLK day. Find a parade in your area and participate by walking in solidarity, or at least showing up, to honor his dream and his life. It's okay if you don't have anything fancy already planned; last year, I marched alone armed with only a camera to "shoot" the spectators. I get discouraged when I see all those JROTC units marching to promote militarization. In my opinion, this is contrary to what MLK's life and dream was about. Let's make sure that peace has "equal time."

I have a dream

I dream of a world where it is illegal to make war, but instead the opposers must face each other until an accord is reach. A worlds where all world resourses are earmarked only for peaceful uses and for all people.
I dream of no "work" for anyone, but time for creative and personal pursuits which add to the betterment of all.
I dream of our worlds population "waking up" and realizing they are whole, blessed and no longer need dominance or control.
I listen to Dr. King's words... as he spoke them, with that dynamic energy of his soul, and find such a rush of pride within me, hope and a burst of energy to do something. We were truely blessed by his presence and his guidance, motivation and love for humanity, of all color and curcumstance!
Thank you, Susan for this reminder!
