If not now when?Peace, when? War, poverty, genocide, ethnic cleansing, sexual exploitation of women and children, are these problems religous, social, racial? Are these issues of black versus white, Christian versus Muslim, east versus west? Or, are they political and social problems that have as a a root cause nothing less than the exclusion of half the human race; the female half from ruling, social, political and religous power circles. We have governments and religious institutions that are historically based on male dominance and violence. Over the last 5,000 thousand years of human history, humanity has progressed from the Stone Age, and a total population of 20 million, to the modern, globe spanning technological era and a population approaching 7 Billion. This 5,000 year period and the technological advances that humanity has made, have been because of, and in spite of the domination of men and their use of violence and war to overwhelm their opposition. It can be shown that human societies have been controlled and dominated by violent men on quests for power, riches and sexual dominance over women. Men of compassion must awaken. Women must be empowered and assume equal standing in all circles of power. I think a primary focus now to secure the long-term global goal is nothing short of amending the Constitution of United States and requiring that half of the Senators and Representatives in Congress must by law, be women... and of course the Presidency.
