Intereliance' Day 2008

Lately, much to be proud of
And it gets better every year
Changes are being made
It’s just too late, for fear.

We have those who gave truth to us
To take us out of war and better
To leave an American legacy
Of the everlasting dream we share.

We have those who mind very much
Sending our Troops off to fight
And then when those Vets come home
They want to do them right.

We gained more Heroes this past year
More than in any year gone past
And as each one awakens and more see the light
We know, they will not be the last.

We are spreading, our Freedoms
In those foreign places like Iraq
And once we have set them there
We should not attempt to control their track.

We have people in our government
Who seem to really care
What happens to us here at home
As much, as all those. over there.

We've left our borders open
To allow our land to flood
So our kids play with others
Who diversify their education's plan.

We let our systems be used
By all those who want to belong
As they take advantage
Of what made our Country strong.

We have “all-American” companies
Committed to reason not "force"
Who make, and build themselves up
Not just for, the bottom line, of course.

We have many businesses
Who buy goods from overseas
Which are safe, and do provide us
Or give us, many healthy choices.

We have the online “news” we get
Controlled by no particular stations
Who tell us what we want to know
To guide our, “public relations”.

We have insurance companies
Who want to pay the claims
They would rather let a profit die
So their high, reputation remains.

We have energy producers
And parts of the auto industry
Who want alternate fuels
And to raise the minimum mpg.

We have a growing new “middle class”
And most of us live fairly well
Most the World still looks up to us
We can not break down and fall.

We have the rich getting less righteous
As the “middle class” is getting rights
It seems not to matter what they have as
All they want is a more equal share.

We have, “The New World Order”
And we should all be gratified
That the elite will not rule us all
Once, all our freedoms are united.

We have so many, “true” believers
Who will not blindly, follow behind
None, afraid to think for themselves
Just each mind, leading a mind.

We have Democrats and Republicans
Though, they all seem, just the same
Exposing all of the bs, lies, and politics
Of, the same ol', same ol', game.

So we continue to take our Country back
And make it what it used to be
A place, where our Constitution
Still rules, the Land of the Free.

We have our old two party system
Who think they have all the power
So we continue to prove them wrong
With the Intereliance of We The Peoples' finest hour.
