Israel, the only Middle East nuclear super-power

The real axis of evil: USA – UK – Israel – France – Italy?

by Kazi Mahmood/LACIS

The international community is unable to bring Israel to declare its nuclear program publicly and it has also failed to punish Israel for violating international laws. Iran however is being penalized and sanctioned for respecting all the laws and for carrying out a legitimate nuclear program. A worst scenario is expected to happen to any other Muslim nation which is not in the position of Iran. Iraq was one such nation that developed a nuclear reactor which was flattened by Israel in the 1980’s.

Israel is a country that professes peace and good will and has rallied its own version of the international community – which is composed of the EU, the USA, Australia, New Zealand, some Latin American countries, possibly India and certainly countries that are “friendly” to the US such as Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt but to name a few – to support its claims for a peaceful solution in the occupied Palestinian territories.

However, Israel is the sole Middle East nation with nuclear weapons and this make that country – a tiny piece of land in the midst of the Arab world – the sole nuclear super power in the entire Middle East. The international community, which by all means is composed of the UN of which the entire world nations including Venezuela, Libya, Indonesia, China and Russia for example are part of, is however weak in its resolve to prevent Israel from being the sole nuclear threat in this part of the world.

The irony is that Iran, which does not have a single nuclear weapon – according to the UN and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is facing a possible attack from Israel or the US and France against its declared peaceful nuclear program.

The question is why has Israel been able to develop a nuclear arsenal estimated at around 250 nuclear war heads, several thousands of nuclear capable rockets, dozens of nuclear propelled submarines and mini-nuclear weapons that uses radiation that is capable of killing on a large scale? The other question is why a country that claims peace is its foremost foreign policy statement and that harmonious living with Palestinians and the Arab world is its recipe for peace in the region has to become the number one and only nuclear power in the Middle East?

The Arabs do not have sufficient weapons to face off an Israeli army that can still – without nuclear weapons – conquer their lands and subdue them to its hegemonic control. Pakistan, the only Muslim nation with nuclear power, is too much troubled and well cornered by India and China (two nuclear powers) and is not in a position to threaten Israel.

Iran is under the lenses of the so-calle international community, which is ensuring that the Iranian government does not violate their singing of the Anti-Nuke Proliferation Treaty – which Israel did not sign – and this is not enough for the those countries to trust the Iranians. Iran too professes peace as part of its foreign policy statement and believes in the harmonious neighborhood in the Middle East. The difference here is that the Israeli government, the US and its allies, proclaim that Iran will wipe out Israel if it was given the chance to build a weapon.

Yet Israel is not an innocent state which is being raped by Arab hordes or violated by the entire Arab world or Muslim world. As a matter of fact, Israel is a “friendly” nation for the Egyptians, the Jordanians, and even to the Lebanese or Yemenis. These nations are not attacking Israel and do not have plans to do so. Syria, seen as a dangerous and rogue nation by the United States, is also too weak to take Israel on, and any war with the Israeli state will only see Syria capitulate in order to save whatever territorial integrity it will still be left with after an Israeli attack.

The Israelis have the authority to tell the tale of the giant Goliath facing the little David. David was the future king of the Jewish community that was living side by side with the Palestinians in the territory now known as occupied Palestine but recognized as Israel by the “international community”. The story would not be interesting to tell if David did not eventually win the uneven battle against the giant who was of “Philistine” origin if I am not mistaken.

Today, the tiny David has turned into the mighty Israel and it is the giant that is dominating the region with its full arsenal of nuclear weapons and highest technological advantages that makes the Muslim world pale in comparison.

However, it is apparent that history will not repeat itself since this time with Israel stronger than ever and the Muslims standing united in their division or I would rather say falling apart when it comes to a united response to Israel’s carnage in Palestine, Goliath (Israel) will crush the minion Arabs (David in our modern story).

Israel is using its nuclear strategy to be the sole super power in the region not to impose its own kind of peace on a bunch of Arabs who do not even know how to defend themselves. Israel is probably using the nuclear arsenal as a deterrent against a possible worldwide backlash against its brutalities and violations against a defenseless people in Palestine.

It is also using the deterrent as a weapon of mass destruction – which the Iraqis did not have eventually but that did not prevent the “international community” from wiping them half way out of existence – to tell the world and the Arabs that they are here to stay and that no one, not even the UN or the Iranians are going to shake them.

It is certain that Israel will try to use its magnificent nuclear arsenal to destroy Iran’s faint intentions of being able to build its own nuclear bomb – rather than be ashamed of buying them on the black market where they are surely on sale. It is thus the pride of Iran that will bring Israel to attack its “electric” nuclear technology and this is a pity since Iran – if it really wanted to wipe out Israel – could have shipped some nuclear bombs from North Korea or bought the parts from different sources and assemble the bomb in Syria or Baluchistan and even get it “made In Chin”’ chopped before it uses them against Israel. It would be cheaper, faster and more efficient and without suspicions.

The “international community” has “saved” the world from the non-existent Iraqi weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) but is not capable of finding a single WMD in Israel.

Hence, hidden behind the Holocaust and the genocide – committed by Germany, not by Arabs or Palestinians – Israel silently built a nuclear arsenal. With the “international community” buying into the emotional stories of the most militant Israelis, the Zionists, they closed their eyes and ears and allowed the Israelis to build weapons that now surpasses those of Pakistan, North Korea or China altogether in capacity.

It is clear that with Israel’s dominance in the nuclear arena, the Arab world (and Iran) have the right to possess nuclear technology and weapons to defend themselves – and use nuclear as a deterrent – against possible Israeli attacks.

However the “international community” is not interested in stripping Israel of its dangerous arsenal of nuclear weapons, but has decided that the world is interested in stopping Iran or any other Muslim nations from acquiring nuclear technology based on the fears that this nation might build nuclear weapons.

This is sheer hypocrisy and it also shows the decadence in which the world is falling with the US acting as the bully and condoning illegal acts by Israel, which should be part of the new “axis of evil”. This axis of evil is composed of the USA, the UK and Israel with Italy and France featuring as potential members.

Here are some hidden facts about the Israeli nuclear program:

Israel’s nuclear program started in 1962. A factory was used as cover and inspections by anti-Nuclear proliferation agents failed to discover that Israel had build a nuclear reactor underneath the factory, which had six floors beneath.
Israel’s nuclear arsenal is composed of nuclear weapons with small tactics range missiles that can be launched from sea land or air. They have nuclear mines and nuclear medium tactics weapons of destruction. All these were fabricated or were obtained thanks to assistance from countries like France and surely the United States. These countries are denying the fact but the world today is aware that Israel is a true nuclear power.

Israel did not fail to use tactical nuclear weapons against the Hizbullah during the Lebanon war in 2006. This was proven by tests that showed radioactivity materials had been used by the Israeli army during its attacks on Lebanon.

The creation of the Israel Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) in 1952. Its chairman, Ernst David Bergmann, had long advocated an Israeli bomb as the best way to ensure "that we shall never again be led as lambs to the slaughter." This indicates that Israel built its nuclear weapons as a deterrent but also as a means to achieve sole power in the Middle East. The intent was truly offensive though official explanations will indicate that it was legitimate. This brings up the right for the Arab world and Iran or Turkey to possess their own nuclear weapons that would act as a deterrent altogether against any potential Israeli aggression.

The problem with the current situation is that Israel has violated all the resolutions voted by the UN against it and no one in the international community dare raise a finger on Israel. This makes Israel the most powerful nation after the United States.

France has successively assisted Israel in the development of its nuclear program and their nuclear cooperation dates back as far as the early 1950’s when construction began on France's 40MWt heavy water reactor and a chemical reprocessing plant at Marcoule. After the Suez Canal crisis of 1956, France said it “owed” Israel a nuclear weapon which then led to the construction of the Dimona nuclear reactor in Israel

As a conclusion, it is certain that Israel has the nuke weapons in its possession with the intent to use them against potential enemies that acquires the same technology and the same capacity to strike. This is a dangerous precedence and the international community should not sit back and shake the legs while Israel is planning to be a super power beyond the Middle East!

Balance of Power

It is simple bigotry that Iran is not being allowed to develop atomic weapons. Why shouldn't an Islamic hereditary theocracy be allowed to build I.C.B.M.s?

A nuclear middle-east will be a peaceful middle-east because of Mutually assured destruction. Mutually assured destruction kept the peace between the United States and the Soviet Union for decades.

Atomic bombs are defensive weapons because they make victory impossible for anyone.
Nuclear proliferation is going to happen sooner or later any way.

Technology always spreads. Gunpowder was invented by the Chinese, but now everyone has it. Even the most isolated illiterate tribesman carrys an assualt rifle when he goes to war.

In the future, every Mullah, Latin American Generalismo, and African Warlord will have the ability to hurl nuclear weapons at one another. But, they will also be threatened with the same thing comming back at them. War shall become obsolete and peace shall prevail.

It is racist to think that only educated democratically elected, western leaders can face the reality of mutually assured destruction and act reasonably
