welcomeMember of Humanity; Citizen of EarthI'm a contributing editor, not a managing editor on this site - although my opinion has been sought from time to time when changes are contemplated or on the even more rare occasions when something offensive is going on and the intervention option is being considered. (I think there have been only two.) I write when I can, when I've participated in something I want to share with this community, or when something I read here resonates in one way or another with something I cherish. I enjoy the time I spend here, and I have connected in a deep way with a handful of cyber-friends. I hope you are inspired to contribute by what you find here.

CONNECTINGDot's response to my letter was gratifying; over the next few days I heard from several people about how to develop contacts for that infant Meetup group #131 in Columbia. They were: Finally, yesterday I sorted through the list of contacts Jason had sent and forwarded the geographically appropriate ones to Cheryl (Atlanta), Ellie (Asheville and Greenville/Spartanburg), and Autumn (Columbia) - leaving a substantial list for myself for the Charleston area. In the course of doing this clerical work, it occurred to my wandering mind that some of these people might rather have us (me) attend one of THEIR meetings as a guest and do a presentation on the DoP. That thought gave me the willies, but it gives me a psychological goal, a barrier I still have between me and my fellow humans that I must overcome. After all, just by virtue of their being a willing audience, I know that they are real people, like-minded individuals. Let that thought give me the strength I need to let me do a worthy job of representing the DoP.
