Our lives and our "credentials" for peace

Our lives are our "Credentials" for Peace

In talking to many about the U.S Department of Peace campaign throughout Massachusetts, it has occurred to me many times, that we need to remove the "credentials" misconception that many seem to have concerning their more active involvement in the U.S. Department of Peace campaign. I've had many a misconception myself. So let's simply state an established awareness that there aren't any "credentials" necessary, except our lives !
Our lives' experiences reflect our human flaws, but they also reflect great triumph "¦.. exemplifying peace happening now and greater Peace possibilities for our future!

Anyone working on this campaign in any way shape or form knows that no one can foster healing through peace with inspiration and hope on a macro-level, unless we recognize the intense peace process we undertake on the micro-level. That process of course, will always take place in our own lives. And "¦let's face it -- there are times when we in our own lives, do not want peace! I'm not talking about the times when we respectfully speak our authentic truth which may be in disagreement w/ another, but those times we all recognize with great clarity when, quite simply we want to be "right." Those times, when we want to have "the last say" no matter what the given energy and especially to that one person who has seemingly tried our patience time and time again! After all, we can try to rationalize some of our righteous, nasty energy or behavior right? And, why? Well, we're working on a U.S. Dept. of Peace !
Or, how many of us have given into the moments of the ego that states, "This peace work is just too hard. I know the mass consciousness/thinking. It's too much work for me in my own life with seemingly ridiculous situations so, how is it possible on an immense larger scale? And, what if it does take 65 years?" (Ah, yes I can see the grins and smirks slightly suppressed!)
We all experience such "mind turmoil" at times, and soon enough we recognize the grave need to discipline the thoughts of "ego". If we regularly feed into thoughts of discouragement in our own lives and refuse to see what we each have to offer this world by virtue of our existence on this Earth, and/or we refuse to recognize where love and peace exists and continues right now in our lives, discouraged thinking has the potential to foster a longer term doubt for any peace possibilities; throughout our own lives, our communities, our country and our world. Sadly, then, we would have given into the falsehood of hopelessness.

This meeting on Saturday, August 6th in Lincoln, where all in attendance shared their incredible life stories and feelings , was a wonderful example and reminder to all of us that - as a community, we need to come together in these meetings for each other and to remind us all again and again, that Hope, Healing , Joy, and Peace do exist right now! Recognizing this presence right now, causes for greater loving experiences yet to be revealed! Coming together through these meetings, gives us an incredible gift, a present awareness of the triumphs through peace that have already been accomplished in each of our lives. Thus, we create even greater peace possibilities, for ourselves and in the lives of many others for our future , with great ability. We are all proof, examples, of what can happen when Peace is practiced and nurtured! I've heard the statement, "there isn't anything you have experienced which can't be used for healing and inspiration, for better, in some way." It is truth! Let's remind each other of this! ïÅ

Peace needs us all - and we are ALL qualified!

May we see the joy, laughter and peace among all, right now, to help us in the greater Peace creation!

Peace upon us all,
Andrea Loretz-Frey, U.S. Department of Peace campaign coordinator , District 7 (MA)
