Speaking for Peace

I just updated my statistics on representation in The Peace Alliance, and I thought I'd share the information for those of you who keep track of such things. We are now at 59% representation nationwide and 42% in my region, the nine "red" states of the southeast.

The most recent state to achieve full representation is MI, with 15 Congressional Districts. Thank you to one of my former home states. That brings the total of "complete" states to 14 and represents 61 Congressional Districts. WA, AZ, and MN are next in size with eight or nine, then OR with five. The rest have just one or two.

The most recent state to advance from "blank" to partial representation is AR. Thank you for helping us in the southeast. Now if MS would only get with the program.... In the southeast, NC, my most recent former home state, is by far the leader with 77% representation - significantly above the national average. Next is GA with 61.5% and FL with 48%. These are the giants of the region with 51 Congressional Districts. My current home state, SC, has representation in two of six Districts, or 33%.

I'll update my statistics one more time before I leave for the conference on Thursday. Also, I hope The Peace Alliance will send out a new list of those registered for the conference so that I can update the Working Groups chart. I hope that these small pieces of numerical organization will reduce chaos and increase productivity at the conference.
