News from the Future of America - Part IIn the most dramatic turn over of power in American history, the voters have given the Peace And Justice for AMericA (Pajama) Party the majority in both houses of Congress and control of the Executive branch. "Their humanist message of truth, trust and responsibility for the American people really resonated with voters." said political analyst Theresa Hanlon, "America has shown that it is ready to move on in a substantial way from what came before." The Republican and Democratic parties claimed that a massive voter fraud had taken place, as their lawyers filed suit in 38 counties in 8 states. "This will not stand." said out-going Republican Senator Chad Reeves, "Clearly this election was a farse." But the Pajama Party countered that for the first time in decades the true will of the voters had been expressed thanks to the Voting Technology, Verification and Recountability Act they managed to pass through their grassroots efforts in 27 states and countless cities and towns. "The voters have spoken. We have the paper trail to show what has been said, the open source software and active checksums to verify it, and the means to carry out an instant recount in 68% of precincts should that become necessary." said voter rights activist John Goodfellow. "The Republicans became the party of corporate cronyism and religious fundamentalism, while the PJs scooped up mainstream America with the clarity, simplicity and humanity of their message. The Democrats simply became the party for hold-outs and leftovers." said political analyst Smith Johnson. "It was the special interests and the no interests versus the people's interests." In her victory speech president-elect Victoria Sweeney assured her opposition that the nation would become still stronger under her leadership. "A new power is dawning in America," she said, "one that embraces diversity, one that uses compassion as its instrument, one that recognizes that America must lead in creating global harmony not through domination but through peaceful co-existence. This new power does not remove the old power, but rather learns from it and builds upon it." As is traditional, the Republican smear group kicked into high gear launching a fresh round of character attack ads via corporate media outlets. Democrats complained that the Pajama Party had stolen all their supporters, but their missives received little attention. Meanwhile Internet and independent media outlets heralded the election results as the beginning of a new chapter for democracy.

How about some PJ-party platform suggestions folks ??
The United States spends only - 16 cents out of every $100.00 US tax dollars collected on foreign aid. That is the lowest amount of any developed nation on the planet. Thus the richest nation provides the least support to the world which it takes the majority of its resources from. If you include all US private health and social dollar donations into the equation the amount climbs to a shameful 25 cents, still among the lowest of the developed nations.
The 1040-MY$$ people's choice tax form, is the best solution to a transitional method of government reform. By directing 40 percent or more of an individuals tax payment to areas of support chosen by that individual, when filling out check box's on the 1040-MY$$ form.
Every area of public spending would be put under a pooled category which would have a corresponding check box on the form. That money would then be evenly split among the spending pools chosen by the tax payer.
There by putting a persons tax dollars into the areas of one’s own choosing and giving a true voice to the people which could not be ignored.
People's Choice Taxation is a fair and equal way to tax a population.

Pajama Party
A week or so ago, I got a query from PAC, Barbara Boxer's group, in which she asked us to prioritize five questions that were to be posed to UN Ambassador Bolton. The results showed that the overwhelming majority of her group were not interested in explanations of past blunders, lies, or posturing. We would rather move on to what's next - finding our place in the international community. Boxer seemed surprised at this result, and yet she is possibly one of the most progressive 5% of all Senators.
The Pajama Party has a clear mandate to speak for that majority who are ready to dedicate our human and material resources to the future. As Jason so rightly indicates, the existing party structure in this country is hell-bent on self-preservation to the exclusion of addressing the real needs of the people.
One of those needs is for a Department of Peacebuilding and Human Security. What if we start having our house parties and meetings in our pajamas and leave the suits to the bi-partisans? What an effective way to emphasize our universal and non-partisan nature! What if we table events and participate in demonstrations in our pajamas? What an effective way to get media attention without resorting to the sensationalism of bullhorns and hate talk!
I look forward to Part II in which I'd like to see more about the platform of the Pajama Party.
