According to the "Der Spiegel", The USA is preparing for a military strike against Iran.

Would this help the peace process in the region and especially in Iraq?

The History Repeats Itself

The same happend with Sadam and Iraq. The same people who built up and armed Iraq and Sadam destroyed Iraq and Sadam in a next step and those are the same people who are planning for a strike against Iran.

Neocons Wanted to Bring Nuclear Power to Iran

During the Ford Administration Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Wolfowitz were talking about a plan to bring nuclear power to Iran. These are the same people who are planning for another war with Iran. What do you make of that? Do these people actually think they are playing a game of Monopoly with our futures and the lives of millions of people?
Peace is not even a remote possibility until we wake up and smell the roses. We have ceded our government to fascists and incompetent imbeciles. They are not even concerned about the American people in the least. Nobody is governing in Washington.
It will not be the people who get peace if the people elect morons to office who can not even speak clearly and state a reason for why we went to war in Iraq.

People make Peace not Governments

I like to believe that people in the long run are going to do more to promote peace than our governments. Indeed, I think that people want peace so much that one of these days governments had better get out of the way and let them have it.

Unfortunately*Fortunately

Unfortunately, what ever the near future, U.S. course of action is anywhere in the world, it will not be in the interest of peace for any given region, or for the greater good of humanity, that is the way of agenda based action, and this is being made very clear to many.

Fortunately, for the World, these actions are the very light which will bring the desire and need for global solutions to the greed and corruption which thrive on making war.

The steps to peace are simple and easy to make, unfortunately for many the decision to walk the path is not.

Seymour Hersh and others have been writing about possible military strikes against Iran for months now. No, this will absolutely not help the peace process in the region. Striking Iran will only further inflame fundamentalist Islamic passions.

The only positive thing the west could do to aid the peace process is to boycott Iran until they lower their anti-western and anti-semitic rhetoric. Unfortunately for all of us, we are addicted to ME oil, and Iran is a major exporter.
