'Crying for a Vision'

Hanblecheya, means "crying for a vision". It means going on a Vision Quest, up to the hilltop, maybe crawling into a vision pit, and staying there .... praying for an answer from the Supernaturals. That's a hard thing to do.
"Crying for a vision", my father once told me, "that's the beginning of our religion. It is the thirst for a dream from above -- a vision which, while it lasts, will make you more than just a man. If you never had a vision, you are nothing.......
(Hanblecheya) 'It' is like the prophets in the Christian Bible, like Jesus fasting in the desert, or Jacob wrestling with the angel, wrestling for a dream.
It means hearing soundless voices, seeing things with your heart and mind, not with your eyes. It means shutting your eyes in order to see.
".. Men have forgotten this. Their God no longer talks to them out of a burning bush. If he did, they wouldn't believe it. They'd call it hallucination
or science fiction......
Those old Hebrew prophets went into the desert praying for a vision, but the white men of today have made a desert of their beliefs......a dead place without dreams.

But,
the spirit water is ALWAYS there to make the desert bloom again."

That my Father told me.
