How far have we come in knowledge, understanding and the use of power,

Monumental temples and tombs, rise toward the stars to proclaim understanding, knowledge and power,
Laboriously constructed stone roadways, bordered on each side with massive wooden crosses, strung with the bodies of those who resist oppression,
Causeways to grand castle fortresses, spiked with countless heads,
Vast forest diversity cut and cleared for open fields, lined with row upon row of white cross markers to proclaim honor and sacrifice to freedom,
Small country lanes, heavily marked with NO PARKING signs, patrolled by secret agents ready to intimidate, humiliate, confiscate, and imprison any who dare threaten to upset the status quote,
How far have we come in knowledge, understanding and the use of power,
How far is there to go in learning compassion and love, how far until we see and speak the truth.
