Department of Peace Newcomer Orientation Conference Call

Each month we hold newcomer orientation conference calls for those that are interested either in learning more about the basics of what we are doing, and/or strategies for becoming active in your congressional district. We will also discuss how you can become a Department of Peace Congressional District Team Leader should that inspire you (click here to read more about this role). On the call we will go over the basics, you can ask questions, etc... We hope you will join us!

The call in numbers are 702-851-3330, code 456123. Call in, you will then be prompted to enter the code. The time will be 6:00 pm pacific, 8:00 central, and 9:00 eastern. There are no fees for this call other than your normal long distance rates.

Calls are facilitated by Lynn McMullen, our campaign coordinator. If you think you will be on, please send a note to Lynn by clicking here. You do not have to alert us, but it is helpful in our planning. Please include the date of the call you wish to be on, your name, city and the state you reside in.

getting involved

One way to get started would be to write to your legislator. Get as many people as possible to do the same. See the tips here on the DoP Campaign web site.

Another way to be involved is to register with the the DoP Campaign web site here. When you register you can also sign up to be a district leader if you wish.

DOP conference call

I would like to be involved in promoting legislation to create the DOP. I could participate in a conference call in April. So far, my research has shown me that my representative was NOT one of the sponsors. No surprise there; I live in South Carolina. I will be watching your calendar for an April date.
